My friend Kevin is getting married in May and since he loved my table-runner-turned-wall-hanging when he was here last September, I decided to make one for him and his lovely bride, April, as a wedding gift.

Since Kevin had to carry it back with him to Shanghai, I opted to go a slightly smaller route than before so he wouldn’t have to buy a new suitcase to bring it back!

Finished, it measures about 12″x18″ and consists of a Merino and Corriedale felted base with a thin layer of silk hankies on top to get that wonderful nubbly texture with a little sheen.

I added felted crochet flowers, hand-made beads, embroidery and silk throwsters waste to finish it off.
